Welcome

Welcome to my travel blog! I have been thinking of doing this for some time, but didn’t have the courage to do it. What a better way to start off a new year than with a new adventure! I would like to tell you a bit more about myself and how I ended up starting this website. Let’s start from the beginning…

My husband Eric and I love to travel. He started to photograph me on our first vacation together to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico in 2005. We were in University at the time and stayed in the cheapest hotel we could find. Our best pic was the reaction to my first shot of Tequila. I think we used a disposable camera for that trip. We had the time of our lives!

Since then things have evolved; Eric’s vacation photos have gotten better with time. I no longer scrapbook our vacations, but post to Facebook and Instagram. Being able to share our adventures with others brings me great joy. We no longer stay in the cheapest hotel, but look for vacation rentals with privacy and tranquility, often booking homes on acreage through VRBO and AirBnB. We like to feel at home and live like locals when we travel. We are not crazy about tours and tourist traps. Crowds our not our thing. We often try to find secluded beaches and areas to photograph. The harder the location is to find, the better the experience.

When I am not traveling I am practicing dentistry, dancing, taking spin classes and spending time with my Morkie Roscoe. I am a former competitive dancer and gymnast. I still teach dance and am a gymnastic judge from time to time. I love being creative and always need an outlet for that. Partly the reason for starting my blog. I love fashion and am a bit of a luxury addict. I usually spoil myself with one luxury good on our vacations to have something to remind of that trip. I hope that I can bring some inspiration or advice for your adventures! Happy 2018!
